This course provides a global overview of supply chain challenges and opportunities in the luxury and fashion industries. The conferences will cover a wide range of supply chain management topics from sourcing and production, to demand forecasting, planning, distribution and sales, aiming for optimal customer experience and desirable brand image, in a context of fast digital transformation and increasing corporate social responsibility. Specific emphasis will be placed on supply planning, environmental responsibility, retail excellence, product traceability, raw materials circularity, thanks to interactive lectures with industry speakers and business cases.

12 hours for group assignment preparation, recommended readings and notes review from courses. Group assignment: deliverable will be a ~20 minutes group oral presentation by 6 groups of 5 to 6 students (each student expected to present, with similar speaking time) with power point material, followed 10 minutes of questions from the class. Presentation to be received 24h ahead. Proposed business cases - will be randomly attributed during first class: Fashion brands with an agile supply chain model. Illustrate requirements and organization throughout the supply chain. Identify best practices. Luxury or Fashion brands whose supply chain model has been disrupted by global health or geopolitical context. How they dealt with it. Learnings Fashion brands which had to face image crisis due to their supply chain. How they dealt with it. Learnings.
