This course provides a detailed overview of the fundamental principles of microeconomic theory, with an emphasis on their practical application in managerial contexts. It covers key areas such as supply and demand, pricing strategies, and the theory of regulation. The course also introduces students to game theory.
Theoretical instruction is paired with in-class games and comprehensive case studies from various firms. These methods aim to aid students in understanding the real-world relevance of microeconomic concepts and how they can be effectively applied in managerial decision making. Upon completing the course, students will have gained a solid understanding of the main microeconomic tools that managers use. They will be prepared to apply these tools effectively in their decision-making processes.

Autumn 2025-2026
A portfolio comprising several short essays on cases and articles assigned throughout the semester. Some assignments will be completed in groups and some individually. (50%) A final exam, focusing on the mastery of the basic concepts introduced in the lecture. (50%)
Each lecture introduces theoretical tools and case studies for illustrative purposes.
