BART 97A84 - The World according to you - Workshop of photography

Students are invited to step into the shoes of a photographer who responds to regular photographic commissions. The first eight sessions will have 8 different topics. The student will be asked to produce photos in accordance with the given themes. These eight sessions will allow everyone to review technique and photographic practice in preparation for the final work. The last four sessions will be dedicated to the creation of mini-series (5 photos) on a topic chosen by each student in accordance with the main title "The world according to you". Then all students will have to integrate their individual series into a collective presentation which will take the form of a book or photographic film. This workshop is recommended for students with technical knowledge in photography.

To validate the course, the student is expected to pass the following assignments (at least three grades): 1°) Diligence in carrying out the exercises – courses 1 to 8 (30%) 2°) Production of a photographic series – courses 9 to 11 (50%) 3°) Collective Presentation – course 12 (20%) Late arrival policy No delay beyond 5 minutes will be accepted, except in special cases. Course 2 : Theme “The urgency of the gesture”: Work on shutter speed Shooting : Each student tests photographic technique in order to translate ideas into images. Course 3 : Theme “Loneliness in the frame”: Work on depth of field Shooting : Each student tests photographic technique in order to translate ideas into images. Course 4 : Theme “The metamorphosis of matter”: Lines, shapes and colors / Abstraction in photography Shooting : Each student tests photographic technique in order to translate ideas into images. Course 5 : Theme “What do humans dream of?” : Expérimentation Shooting : Photographing through transparent material. Course 6 : “The city speaks to us” - Photographing urban landscapes in the city of Reims Each student chooses from the following themes: “The memory of places” / “Where is the green?”. Course 7 : “The city speaks to us” - Portraits and street photography in the city of Reims Each student chooses from the following themes: “Cohabitation and sharing” / “Neighbors”. Course 8 : “The city speaks to us” - Photographing in the city of Reims Each student suggests a topic related to the city of Reims Course 9 : “The world according to you” Each student chooses a topic and creates an individual mini-series of 5 photos according to the title. Course 10 : “The world according to you” Each student creates an individual mini-series of 5 photos according to the title. Course 11 : “The world according to you”: Finalization of the series (Editing / Title / Caption / Introductory text) Collective work: Integrating all the series into a common photographic film or a collective book. Course 12 : “The world according to you” Presentation of the collective work.
