F1IE 4415 - Can EU ETS & CBAM Help Achieve EU Net-zero 2050 Goal?
The European Trading System (EU ETS) entered its Phase 4 after 15 years of activity. It has proven a semi successful tool to reduce CO2 emissions in Europe. The course will focus on the success & challenges of the Phase 3, the changes in Phase 4 and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). As being at the forefront of carbon pricing, the EU has been very successful in some regulations and less in others. This course will analyse this and will provide paths for the future.

Spring 2024-2025
(i) 3 presentations done by student in one of the sessions 3 to 6 will each accounting for 1/3 of the final grade (individual). (ii) Students will have to search the web for info for their case studies
