The CFA Program provides a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis, analytical and real-world portfolio management skills. It is strongly anchored in high professional ethical standards. Hiring leading firms often require the CFA credential when considering job applications.
This course objective is to cover the CFA level 1 program with a focus on exam practice.
During the 1st Semester, the course will cover financial reporting and analysis and quantitative methods while in the 2nd semester, the course will focus on ethics, economics, corporate finance, asset valuation and portfolio management.
Electives courses offered in the semester 3 and 4 include one new professional certification:
- The CFA Certification Level 1
Preparation and exam are fully taught in English.
The course includes the examination preparation, as well as the professional examination.
Course validation is on a Pass/Fail criteria based exclusively on attendance. No exam to validate the course.
Classes will also take place on semester 4.

The CFA level 1 course (Semesters 1 and 2) implies a large commitment of personal and autonomous study of 320 hours. The workload is particularly important and only highly motivated students ready to take the time required for the preparation must apply for this course. For the Semester 1 course, students will need to allocate 120 hours to master the material.
Basic knowledge in Quantitative methods and financial statements.
Application should include:
- A letter of application for registration, stating clearly the link with the professional project
- Grades of the semester 1 and semester 2 for the following courses: Financial analysis, Financial
Markets and when appropriate Financial Mathematics/ Statistics, Financial Macroeconomics/
Macroeconomics. All score below 10 or default in one of these courses make student ineligible.
Autumn and Spring 2024-2025
Students take the CFA level 1 exam on Saturday on May.
The exam is organized on that single day by the CFA Institute in Paris.
Students study the topics in the CFA curriculum books before the course.
The course is made of 1/3 theory and 2/3 practice.
For each topic, professors focus on technics for correctly answering the CFA Exam questions on each topic.
Additional questions will be dealt with by e-mail until the exam date.
Students should always attend the course with an authorized calculator.

CFA Curriculum is made of 6 volumes. Semester 1 will cover Volumes 1 and 3
