The course focuses on healthcare policies and the main components of healthcare systems considered at global level. After providing tools to analyze the dynamics of health policies, the course discusses the notion of a health system and outlines its main components.

The students are supposed to attend the lessons and explore by themselves the readings and authors mentioned during the course. The main personal contribution / evaluation exercise will consist in preparing and writing a policy paper.
No prerequisite.
Familiarity with heath systems and policy in a global context is welcome.
Autumn 2024-2025
Groups of 3 students will be composed and they will have to a) identify a specific global health issue of their choice and justify this choice (note 1) b) propose a policy paper on this issue providing evidence and policy recommendations (note 2)
The course will be based on formal lessons given by the professor, with questions and answers. The students will have to prepare in parallel a personal policy paper.
