O7IM 2BA08 - Shaping a Better Future through International Regulation and Cooperation

Tasked with the responsibility of steering the global economy towards a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable future, international regulation and cooperation have gained momentum against a backdrop of growing natural and man-mad disasters. Strategic decision-making, negotiation processes and the impact of implementing international norms and standards on the real economy are some of the keys issues addressed in this course. Based on concrete case studies, this 12-session course takes a pragmatic approach. To this end, the course will offer students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the main global decision-making platforms and tools as well as to meet with influential international stakeholders and policymakers. It will also aim to strengthen students, ability to gather support from diverse stakeholders to agree on common standards for a better future.
