KDDC 2039A - Blockchain: legal and technical uses

This course aims to present the functioning of blockchain technology and to study its uses and legal implications, particularly with regard to governance issues. The course will first introduce the technical aspects of the technology and its underlying operation. It will then illustrate its use within existing organizations or new forms of decentralized organizations, focusing on the tensions between decentralization of the infrastructure and decentralization of power within that infrastructure.
