• Compliance risks and Ethical dilemmas are common within professional life. If not or poorly recognised, assessed, anticipated and managed, they may have disastrous consequences for the organisation and for the individuals.
• This course aims to expose students to complex issues of ‘right' and ‘wrong' within professional activities and decision-making and help them to cope with various ethical dilemmas and compliance risks, from both an academic and practical perspective.
• The course will be articulated through 2 main dimensions : 1/ Understanding the major ethical challenges and compliance risks, with a focus on public affairs (financial crime, conflicts of interests, market integrity, new Environment, Social & Society, Governance regulations and expectations, …) ; 2/ Coping with a variety of real-world situations (case studies) & business cases with class discussion on the various solutions brought by the students ; risk based approach with the design of a risk cartography with a focus on specific challenges in the public sector.
