O7IM 2115A - Financial Analysis

How to apprehend today the question of asset and company valuation, or more simply "is it profitable?"; or "how much is it worth ?"; These key questions are nowadays a central component of complex economic and financial issues such as industrial strategies, value creation, the role of financing tools and corporate finance operations. The course aims to provide basic and advanced theoretical tools to better understand and analyze these issues, both from corporate and advisory points of view. The course is divided into 5 parts :
1) Financial Statements and Cash-Flows ;
2) Financial Analysis and Value Creation ;
3) Company Valuation ;
4) Debt and Hybrid Products ;
5) Private Equity, M&A and LBO operations.
These concepts are essential to both students preparing for careers in finance and to all those who wish or have an overall vision of a company and its market environment or, more simply, want to master the basics of corporate finance.
