The course will approach this topic of culture and identity asking whether culture has had an influence on how we express ourselves and if it is visible in the art world? -Artistic practice exploring arts multidisciplinary world; here the students will have the opportunity to express their artistic perspective through painting drawing and performance dealing with the courses main topic presented; Culture and Identity, its role in the art world
-Socially engaged practice; here the students will participate in a collaborative project with other students where they will be expected to create an artistic project.
Students will be encouraged to work collaboratively as well as be independent, self-directed critical thinkers.
The emphasis on the course is on the students completing a large practice-based project.
This culminates with the production of a final project/exhibition with a short presentation demonstrating appropriate critical contextualization of practice based work.
