KETU 2250 - Financing the "unfinanceable". Financing businesses in challenging geographies.
The case-study lecture will focus on challenging geographies and businesses. Through the lens of challenging businesses & geographies (both in developed and developing economies), the lecture aims to illustrate key concepts of development finance. With oral and written role-plays -mirroring the professional setting of complementary private and public stakeholders- the students will acquire the necessary technical and methodological tools to assess projects targeting challenging geographies and businesses that seem “unfinanceable” from the outset. The students will be in a position to grasp the multi-stakeholder process underpinning such complex financing decisions.
